New York Fashion Week SS 14





New York Fashion Week started on Thursday!
I'm so excited and curious to see all the new collections for SS 14. Is the Pantone Colour Institute right with its prediction - will we see the new trend colours Dazzling Blue, Violet Tulip, Radiant Orchid and Celosia Orange on the runway?
What shilouttes and shapes are going to be the dominant ones and which materials have been most interesting for the designers?
I'm so thrilled! However not only about the actual collections, but also about the story behind them, so what was the inspiration for the designer, what drove him to create especially this?
Of course it is also always about the interpretation and your personal point of view when it comes to fashion, but I find it so fascinating to dive into a little snapshot of the world of the designer.
Still you never will understand the world fashion and in my opinion fashion is also not ment to be. Because when we try to understand it, it will loose its magic, the wonderful something that lightens up our eyes, while we look at the creations of the designer.

Am Donnerstag hat die New York Fashion Week begonnen!
Ich bin so aufgeregt und zum zereissen gespannt auf die Kollektionen für den Frühling/Sommer 2014. Behält das Pantone Colour Institute recht mit seiner Vorhersage - werden wir dei neuen Trendfarben Dazzling Blue, Violet Tulip, Radiant Orchid and Celosia Orange über die Laufstege gleiten sehen?
Welche Shilouetten und Formen werden die prägensten sein und welche Materialien waren für die Designer am interessantesten?
Ich bin unheimlich gespannt und neugierig, jedoch nicht nur wegen der Kollektionen selbst, sondern auch auf die Geschichte die sich hinter ihnen verbirgt. Welche Inspiration hatte der Designer, was hat ihn angetrieben gerade diese Kollektion zu schaffen?
Natürlich geht es bei Fashion auch immer um Interpretation und den eigenen Blickwinkel, dennoch finde ich es faszinierend in einen kleinen Ausschnitt der Welt des Designers einzutauchen.
Und doch wird man Fashion nie wirklich verstehen und meiner Meinung nach ist sie dafür auch nicht gemacht. Denn wenn wir versuchen diese Welt zu verstehen wird sie ihren Zauber verlieren, das wundervolle Etwas, das unsere Augen aufleuchten lässt wenn wir die Kreationen des Designers betrachten.
